Perfect freeriding conditions and terrain parks for all ability levels
Snowboarders love powder. Like we mentioned in the Freeriding/Experts category, a good snowfall creates endless off-piste options on the western side of the ski area. And air & style fans will also find a few things to keep them entertained as well. A total of three freestyle terrain parks and one halfpipe have been installed on the mountain. Those still somewhat intimidated by big kickers can practice in the beginner-friendly Ute Park off the Ute Park chairlift. The intermediate park, which can be reached using the Polar Queen Express, is, hence its name, most suited for more practiced snowboarders and freestylers. The kickers the size of houses in the Hoot Brown terrain park, however, are best left to the real cracks. Hoot Brown, with its extremely challenging jumps and rails can be found off of the Village Express lift (no.4), and is also home to one of the largest superpipes is all of North America.
