Moderate offer for sporty skiers

About half of the slopes on the Wurzeralm are marked as medium or difficult. Around Gammeringsattel and Schwarzeck there are red slopes, but they are relatively short. Longer runs can be found by advanced skiers on the Frauenkar. The Wurzerabfahrt, i.e. the red valley run, also belongs to the longer slopes. In addition, there are two black slopes (Panorama downhill and Schwarzeck race course). The speed and timed runs are mainly designed for children. On the panorama circuit, you can explore the entire ski area via seven vantage points.

So good skiers will find quite nice downhill options for a day of skiing. For stays of several days, however, the offer here is rather too small. But that is not a tragedy. Multi-day tickets are also valid in Hinterstoder, about 25 minutes away by car. Free ski buses run regularly between the Wurzeralm and Hinterstoder.
