Intermediate slopes in both Mt. Strachan and Black Mountain!
Intermediate skiers have a pretty good selection of trails at Cypress Mountain, with 35% of the total being blues. Our personal favorites were „Horizon” in Mt. Strachan and „Crazy Raven” and “Jasey Jay Anderson’s Gold” in Black Mountain. If you’re looking for more of a challenge and a bit more variety, you’ll find them in the black diamonds in the area. Most of them are ungroomed and are everywhere to be found at Cypress Mountain. Many of them are also very short, so more ambitious intermediate skiers should be able to handle them. Another challenge can be found in the “Rainbow” trail next to the Lions Express Quad Chair. You’re also going to love Cypress Mountain’s location right off the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Weather allowing, skiers can enjoy the breathtaking view of it as well as of the city of Vancouver.
