Spacious Cypress Creek Lodge + Vancouver just around the corner!
From various sandwiches and numerous different burgers and wraps to teriyaki chicken, skiers and boarders will find quite a culinary smorgasbord at Cypress Creek Lodge. To call what Cypress Mountain has to offer, “après ski,” however, would be somewhat of an exaggeration, especially considering the fact that the Lodge is the only hut in the entire ski area. One advantage the resort does have, however, is its proximity to the city of Vancouver, a mere 35 kilometers away from it. If you don’t have a car, you can catch the Cypress Mountain Shuttle from various locations throughout the city for just 23 Canadian dollars (price March 2011). The shuttle will get you both there and back. Most winter athletes book a room in the city and head back after skiing for some big-city après-ski. All the bars, clubs, pubs and restaurants on Granville Street alone would be far too many to list in our report. But since the selection in the ski area itself is so meager, we can only give Cypress Mountain 3 out of 5 stars in the Après-Ski category.
