The slopes of Hinterstoder are predominantly assigned to the red or black category. A special highlight is the Hannes-Trinkl slope, the only World Cup slope in Upper Austria, which furthermore convinces with a beautiful panoramic view towards the Bohemian Forest. In addition, the Inferno slope starts at the Hösskogel, which provides a gradient of up to 70 percent for burning thighs.
The runs to the valley also allow for longer descents once in a while without having to take the lift again right away. But we also liked the shorter slopes like the Lärchenhangabfahrt. However, if you want to get to the highest point in the ski area, you have to take two t-bar lifts. In return, you can start here on the Höss Totale, which leads over 7.4 kilometers back down into the valley.
For a day trip Hinterstoder is quite suitable thanks to the many sporty slopes and the Funslope SNOWtrail. However, for several days of skiing experienced skiers will probably get bored in the long run due to the manageable size.
