The Mahdstuhl lift, which is located right next to the ski school lift, is situated somewhat away from the rest of the skiing activity, which is why beginners can safely take their first steps in the snow here. Another starting point for beginners is the area around the button lift "Wiesenlift". This lift is partly used by advanced skiers to get back to the base station of the Festkogelbahn, but the directly adjacent slope is almost exclusively occupied by beginners. A children's club with a small platter lift operated by the local ski school makes this area the perfect beginner's area. But there are also plenty of opportunities for beginners in the rest of the area. More than 35 of the total 112 kilometers of slopes are assigned to the easy category. So beginners will find blue slopes of easy difficulty distributed almost throughout the entire ski area.
