The biggest share of the service award goes to the piste crew and their excellent work with the snow groomers. During our test visit, the slopes were without exception excellently shaped and still in good shape even after a few hours of sunshine. The snow park was also in very good condition.
The Sillian ski area may not be the largest in the Alps, but the kilometers of slopes are accessible with mostly modern lifts. If you don't want to, you don't have to use a single, unpopular drag lift in the entire ski area. The three chairlifts Thurntaler (6-seater chairlift, detachable and heated), Außervillgraten (4-seater chairlift) and the Gadein chairlift (4-seater seselift) as well as the Thurntaler gondola lift bring visitors quickly and easily from the valley up to the Thurntaler, with its 2,407 meters the highest point of the ski area.
There is also nothing to complain about in terms of piste marking and signposting in the Sillian ski area in Alta Pusteria. Along the slopes, the signs protrude from the ground, unfortunately a rarity in such small areas.
Free WiFi is also available. Parking also poses no problems in Sillian. There are enough free parking spaces directly at the base station of the Thurntal gondola.
