There is hardly any other winter sport where you can experience the boundless freedom of the mountains better than on a ski tour. That's why touring is becoming more and more popular. The ski manufacturers now also offer a large selection of ladies' touring skis that are especially tailored to the needs of women. Find out how the ladies' models fared in this year's ski test here.
Lightweights for adventurous ladies
Whether short or long tours, on the slopes or off-piste - the touring skis in the ladies' category are suitable for almost all tours with their centre widths of 80 to 88 millimetres. Thanks to their light weight, they promise effortless ascents and enjoyable descents.
The touring models were tested this year in very good snow conditions on the Mölltal Glacier in Carinthia. This is also reflected in the test results. The skis were consistently rated excellent, very good or good.
Target group: Female touring skiers who do not want to compromise between ascent and descent
Test winner: Elan Ripstick Tour 88 W
The Elan Ripstick Tour 88 W convinced the testers all along the line and therefore lands with a sensational 51.2 points and the test grade "excellent" in first place in the category "Ladies' Touring Skis". Particularly in short turns, the test winner is not easily outdone. But also in the handling of the skins and in the overall impression the Ripstick Tour gets excellent ratings.
