    Unreservedly recommendable for families

The Hochkar ski area is well suited for all skill levels. In the family category, the ski area even gets a top rating. At the parking lot of the Zagerlboden lift there is a children's area with a practice slope, magic carpets and fun elements for children. All the descents labeled blue (easy) or red (intermediate) are suitable for kids who have some experience in alpine skiing. For all experts among the parents we recommend the black marked (very challenging) slopes. All the slopes lead down to the same valley. In fact there are only two base stations in the skiing-area. One at the foot of the “Großes Kar (III)” and another at the “Almlift (IV)” lift facility. Hence there should be no great danger of loosing track of your children. Moreover ski vacations in Lower Austria with the whole family are fairly well-priced compared to other skiing regions in Austria (e.g. Salzburg or Tyrol). Consequently the entire family can have lots of fun at the ski resort Hochkar and the stay goes easy on the wallet.
