Top ski resort for advanced skiers!

95% of the about 100 kilometers of skiable terrain are marked red and blue, while the remaining 5% are marked black. These slopes are perfect for advanced skiers. However, you should bring some experience, seeing as the larger part of the red marked slopes is rather challenging. Slopes definitely worth your time would be the descend from the top station Zehnerkar or the piste starting out at the Seekareck. Real professionals should try the black marked slope alongside the Schaidbergbahn. Legendary is the slope Gamsleiten 2, which should only be considered by true expert skiers. To find out just how fast your personal best is, Obertauern has a public racing track as well as some speed measurement tracks. An absolute highlight for skiers and snowboarders in Obertauern is the so-called Tauernrunde. You can ski the circuit in both directions and it leads you through the entire resort without the need to take a lift or a slope twice!

The facilities are modern, the waiting times compared to I know ski areas in order. For skiing that wants to tear down many kilometres of pistes, the ski area could be bigger and a bit more difficult.

The highlight of course is the Gams lead 2. But also in the rest of the ski resort there are some challenging slopes. As an example, here are the slopes of the dog's mountain and Plattenkar down to...
