Perfect Destination for Advanced Skiers

Silver Star would not be Silver Star if there were no options for advanced and expert skiers and riders. If it is steep runs or wide-open slopes you are after, Silver Star is very well suited to strong intermediates – yet not to hardcore experts, as there is nothing that would make extreme skiers tremble at the knees, even though there is some double black terrain. But still, Silver Star takes their expert skiing seriously.

Get Your Adrenalin Fix

Ride Summit Chair or Comet Express up to Vance Creek to access great intermediate terrain, for instance Walt's Run and Milky Way. We'd also recommend Whiskey Jack and Big/Middle/Little Dipper. You haven't got your adrenalin fix so far? Well, hurtle down the snow-covered mountain at breathtaking speed on Free Fall, which drops straight down for 400 vertical metres. As most of black and double diamond runs, Free Fall is located at the mountain's backside.

Room for Improvement

The Home Run Tee T-bar lift is the best example of why Silver Star is not awarded in the category "Advanced". More modern and comfortable lifts would be desirable, even though they do some touching-up on by replacing a 2-person chairlift with a new gondola. However, the ski resort lacks heated ski lifts as well as detachable chairlifts.
