The first things coming to our mind when thinking of service at Silver Star are snow grooming and infrastructure. During our visit, the slope conditions had always been perfect, so we'd like to refer to it as first-class snow grooming, since it was fantastic! The ski resort operators and the groomer team make every effort to meet European standards in this field. In addition, signposting and slope marking stakes were excellent, making for both a great orientation and feeling of security, especially for families with kids.
What's more is the fact that free public WiFi is available throughout the resort. Adjacent to the base station there is a ski service, ski rental, and plenty of parking spots. Although there is no ski depot we wouldn't dare to complain about it, as all accommodation options are within reach of the ski resort itself.
There's Room for Improvement
Although Silver Star's infrastructure is fair enough, it lacks state-of-the-art lifts. Silver Star's lifts are not comparable to the lifts in the European Alps due to a lack of modernity. Even though the ski resort steadily improves - for instance, an old 2-person chairlift ist replaced with a new gondola and the Home Run lift is the only t-bar lift left in the ski resort - it cannot be awarded yet in this category.
